…secular, often anti-religious voices, that are meant to influence our behavior…often at the expense of our sacred values.
Voices on television created by Madison Avenue. Voices in movies created by Hollywood. Voices on the great issues facing our country created in Washington and state capitals around the country.
Add it up, and the manipulation of the mind and spirit of America are now overwhelmingly controlled by people who most assuredly do not share our values.
It seems that the voices of the family and the Church are being drowned out by the daily drumbeat of those whose job it is to make us forget to conduct our lives by a set of values that come not from men, but from God.
Well, here in Maine we are doing something about it. A powerful new voice is in THE PRESENCE! Catholic Radio. Touching Hearts. Changing Lives.
July 7, 2010. The day the powerful voice of the Church and its teachings burst onto the FM airwaves at 106.7 in Greater Portland to be heard by over 182,000 people, and throughout the State of Maine via the internet at www.thepresence.fm by simply pressing the ‘listen live now’ button above. Our mission to awaken and strengthen the moral compass of the faithful in Maine is beginning its journey.
The Presence Radio Network was inaugurated by Bishop Malone himself and consecrated at a Mass on the launch date of July 7, 2010.
It took five long years to get this first station on the air. An additional 8 communities throughout the State of Maine will receive Catholic radio programming with your help.
THE PRESENCE is a non-profit radio network run as a lay apostolate. Like public radio, it cannot solicit advertising and will only survive and grow with the financial support of our listening audience – people like you! We now have the means to allow people to turn on their radios and fill their days with exciting, enlightening, and powerful programming.
